Busy Days

Posted: 22 December 2009
Well, it's been quite a while since I wrote a post here. It's just that I've been so busy with my work that I've been literally sleeping 5 hours a day for the past month.

As I had announced earlier, I now work full-time at the Assured India Investments Group, a multi-national umbrella organisation based  mainly in India and the UK. I began mid-November and almost a month has past. It's my dream job, to say the least, and I couldn't have been happier. Anyway, I'm currently still engaged with projects I initiated before joining AIIG. So the past month has been so hectic that I have forgotten to shower on many an occassion. Okay, I made that last one up. You get the idea.

One Down...

I finished my first AIIG project a few days ago. It's a site for UniqueCreation Interiors & Furnishing, the interior design branch of AIIG. Though it is not fully functional, the front-end development (which is my concern) is more or less complete. So I decided to add it to my portfolio right away, though I will add the live URL a little later.

A Long Way To Go

Among the freelance projects I have going at the moment is the website for TravelCurators, a green tourism startup based in Goa. I'm currently Textpattern-ing it, and I expect it to be ready by early January.

Back at the office, a number of big projects are in the pipeline. Though I cannot give details with regard to these projects, let me hint a little. There's Amar Prem, a mega-scale retirement village coming up soon in Quelossim, Goa; and AsliCharity, an international charity organisation that will be mainly active in India and the UK. Also, there are a couple of real-estate projects a little later.

Yesterday, I finally found myself a little free time, so with Christmas around the corner, I placed a little wreath in the header of my beloved website. Can you see it at the top of this page? Hope that gets you in the Christmas mood. I plan to re-align and update my portfolio sometime in the New Year, when I complete a few more projects. Exciting times up ahead!
